About Artist:
I was schooled in fine arts at the Universities of Alberta and Calgary. I took design at Ryerson University in Toronto. Art and design have always been the focus of my career.
Painting has always been very important in my practice. I mostly work in acrylics and inks...but recently have been incorporating digial processes....they have expanded my practice immensely. I use a combination of painting, scanning, digital manipulation, printing and collage to create my pieces.
Technology is blurring the definition of 'painting'. The ability to make 'marks' has always defined how art is made...now we have different technologies to help expand our mark making process.
My practice explores the capture of transparency/solidity, light/dark, luminescence and the ephemeral.
