About Artist:
Golareh Safarian was born in Tehran, Iran and studied in Spain, Canada, and the United States. She has post-secondary degrees in political science, criminology, and journalism, and a graduate degree in mass communications, but what drives her the most is her passion for creativity and the arts. She is an author, illustrator, entrepreneur, director and multi-disciplined artist with more than 15 years of experience in fine art, photography, and digital design. Golareh describes her art as an homage to color and a journey into the intricacies of the human mind: "To me, life is a balancing act between positives and negatives, between awareness and ignorance, between creator and machine. In more tangible terms, this becomes a dance between the optimist and the pessimist within. In my art, I argue for the optimist, while acknowledging the seductive and haunting pull of the pessimist. I identify this as my personal quest for magic and beauty which I often find in the unlikeliest of places."
