Emerging Japanese-Brazilian artist Karina Saheki, a molecular biologist by profession, transfers the precision and accuracy required in the laboratory to the field of art. Having lived in Brazil, Japan and Austria, she is influenced both by the art of the West and the East. Combining the simplicity of Japanese culture with Brazilian liveliness, she is able to create clear and vivid artwork that truly mesmerizes the beholder.
