About Artist:
Michael Forbes Scottish Artist Exhibited R.S.A Mike Forbes works is highly collected artist acclaimed as one of the UK’s most talented painters. A commission in 2002 by the world famous band ‘Travis’ brought him further publicity and acclaim. His work is in private collections throughout the world; including the Sainsbury’s Collection and The Museum of Transport, London. Unsurprisingly Ricky Gervais and the director of Monty Python, Terry Gilliam are also solid collectors Michael Forbes’s work. Born 1968, Dingwall, Scottish Highlands. Michael Forbes describes himself as a painter of sometimes amusing sometimes sinister and sometimes when its all going right both. He says he started painting because he had images in his head that wanted to look at in the real world and painting was a good way of getting them out. He is a self taught artist living in the Highlands.
