Inspired by Lisbon, its people and the magnificent light, Rita?s work is irreverent, ironic, and funny; yet her pertinent depictions of moral and social problems, notably in the female world, are provocative.
Rita?s themes and style have many people associate her to the Outsider Art movement, but her incorporation of expressionism and satirical illustration make her an original and contemporary artist.
