About Artist:
A 33 year old. Female living Fremantle, Australia. I started “creating” when I was very young with parents both inspiring, crafty and encouraging of everything. After losing my father when I was 21, my professional career took off; but my productivity was always put ahead of creativity and personal life. After travelling abroad for a couple of years living in London, travelling the world and finally returning to my hometown, Perth, WA. After COVID occurred; I finished my work contract in Oil and Gas; and was given the real time to refocus, create, think about what makes me truly happy. Now; a part time knowledge management consultant by day, a creative by night.
About Artwork:
I have an obsession with eyes, they are the keys to the soul. This particular piece was inspired and created using an old damaged “observers book of painting”, a book which I found just by chance whilst sorting through boxes from my travels; looking for direction, for a sign. Th book inspired me to start painting again and I salvaged it, to re-invent something that was broken into this piece; a representation of looking inside, in between the lines, not looking in from others eyes; looking closer and finding meanings that are intended but that are not directly expressed in something said or written.
