About Artist:
Chi Peng is a top contemporary Chinese photographer. Mirage is one of the two most iconic and popular works he created. Chi Peng was born in 1981 in Shandong. In 2005 he graduated from the Digital Media Department, Central Academy of Fine Arts(CAFA). Chi Peng became an internationally recognized artist barely in his mid-twenties and is considered to be one of the most innovative exponents of contemporary Chinese art avant-garde. This is due particularly to his superior handling of digital photography and image-editing. Chi Peng uses photography and Photoshop to depict a surrealist inner and outer world. Chi Peng was raised a single child, so important themes in his work are adolescence, growing up, and issues revolving around sexual identity.
