About Artist:

Divya Pandey is well known artist from India, having Masters degree in Fine arts. Born in a family of artists and lucky to have married an Artist too. Father - Mr. Bala Dutta Pandey is known for his upnisada series of paintings. Husband - Mr. Durga Prasad Bandi also a renowned artist of India. Divya has a beautiful 3 years old daughter. She has already exhibited her works across many platforms and have gained recognition and ranking in India and Asia pacific. I am showcasing her work for the wider audience around the world.

About Artwork:

ARTIST STATEMENT I am very much touched by intellectuals and well wishers around me. Sometimes they look like headless animals, talking and discussing their views endlessly, nobody is listing to other, slowly the societies ?gossiping? habit becomes part of my work.

I think modern man is caught in an intellectual prison of his own making and his mind has been heavily deluded into false notions of life making it all most impossible for him to see as they are.

The effect of gossiping is really interesting where things are decorated and presented forward. Some times we get so much involved into it and forget our human nature and start behaving like animal this is clearly shown in my works.

If you have to name an organ in the human body that has the potential to create the most damage to yourself and others it is the tongue. You eat too much and that?s a problem. You speak too much and that?s problem too!

Most of my works are on handmade paper deals with watercolors, gouache, ink, coffee & gold foil. I also try my hand working in new media sculptural compositions.
