Kataraina is a 29-year-old New Zealand born Artist who resides in the picturesque countryside of Tasmania Australia and although she is a young artist _ Kate has a devoted following here on the island & also New Zealand.
We thought it was time to expose her creative talents to the world - Kate has chosen ARTPLODE because it does not exploit artists.
Kate has studied ART at various institutions / won some awards and although trained by some of the best she was quick to develop her own unique style.
Her art is emotionally expressive enabling a light-hearted touch on life's reality.
Kate belongs to a family of well-known Maori artists yet for all that - she is visually impaired with a condition called advanced keratoconus which significantly distorts the way she sees light and form _ Kataraina takes on the challenge with enthusiasm and strength.
