I was born in 1957 in Levice, Slovakia. I graduated from University of Technology in Budapest. Painting and drawing have always been my life passion, even if I temporarily withdrew from this field. It was my fate to return to my lifelong passion though. I was a teenager when I stopped active creation. At that time I took up painting solely as a leisure activity, nothing more. However, when starting afresh, it meant a lot more than just a hobby to me. During the years preceding my resumption I was gradually coming closer and closer to this path. Having seen their exceptionally good pieces of art, I almost felt jealous of other artists’ success. The overwhelming force of fine arts can provoke feelings and thoughts that would never arise otherwise. I am convinced that I could not live life to the fullest without arts.

I took a brush in my hand around the millennium so that the adult can continue where the child left off. This was the crucial turning point when I decided to take up the challenging aquarelle technique. I read numerous guide books to improve my skills. In fact, the more I became immersed in the mysteries of aquarelle, the more pleasure I found in it. After a few years of hard study, from around 2005 I had several chances to participate in international painting symposiums in Rožnava. There I got to know Ján Kuchta, to whom I am really thankful for introducing a new technique and pictorial view to me. Kuchta is a true master of aquarel and the “wet on wet“ technique.
