This work blends Street Art and Pop Art in a modern and impactful "New Pop" style.
The Street Soul (Execution): The language is that of the street. Mart Signed uses stencils, spray paint, and dripping to recreate the energy of urban graffiti on panels reminiscent of posters torn from city walls.
The Pop Soul (Subject): The content reworks mass-produced icons. It decontextualizes Mary Poppins by ironically juxtaposing her with a disruptive object (a fire extinguisher), using bright colors typical of advertising to catch the eye.
"Mary Poppins" is New Pop because it doesn't simply celebrate consumerism, but uses symbols from the past to send contemporary messages of rebellion and social satire.
The details in the photos reveal how Street Art becomes material. The use of fire is not merely aesthetic, but a creative act: the burns and drips of melted plastic add a sculptural depth that makes each piece unique. They are an element of authenticity that enhances its value, certifying the artist's direct hand and the uniqueness of each piece.
