About Artist:
I worked 30 years as an artist in South Africa, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Israel, Spain and Namibia where I held exhibitions and workshops. My work is highly influenced by this contrasting living environments. Drawing and painting, is a combination of many facets; surface, space, margins, delineations, clippings, universals, aerial views, two dimensional, unconsciously shifting into three-dimensional. It is simpler to designate emptiness and expanse than to capture it in colour. Yet, colour has the advantage of pulsating where we are able to impart this quality. Energies are released extending the formal border.
About Artwork:
The orange rows represent endlessness. The blue lines stand for the landscape, the are pushed back by the orange light. Like that the light dominates the landscape. The cut has a destructive force. It was the first time is used oil pen on an oil painting, that was a breaktrhough for my further work.
