Abstract paintings are analytic-synthetic reflection on the aesthetic and spiritual level. They are aphorisms of the reality, of the truth and of the metaphysics.
In Paternu's paintings the colour is the fundamental vehicle for deeper expressive impetuses, carefully and thoughtfully planned and premediated strokes and contours, which nurture the ungraspable experience and questions of Being.
He graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts (1995) and received the Master Degree from abstract painting (2000) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He has received the highest national Preseren award for the painting »Wet living green« (1995) and the First prize for postgraduated painters (1996). He works at the professional level of painting already 20 years.
