About Artist:

Erte, a Russian artist and designer, was born Roman Petrovich Tyrtov on November 23, 1892 in St. Petersburg Russia. He moved to Paris, France in 1910, where he died on April 21, 1990. Erte's work can be found in the Metropolitian Museum of Art in New York amoung other places.

Erte's stated that?La Tosca is his heorine of the Puccini opera.
