About Artist:
John Lennon studied art for 3 years at the Liverpool institute prior to forming the Beatles with Paul McCartney.
During an interview John Lennon said art was his first love.
He favoured the quick sketch technique and like his famous songs many of the John Lennon drawings are about love and life.
He often added a self portrait to autographs or when he signed a letter.
This drawing was selected by Yoko Ono to be included in the silkscreen portfolio of song lyrics The Beatles Years published in 1995.
John Lennon's signature was reproduced in the plate of this fine art print edition.
