About Artwork:
This artwork is called 'Ao Nami. 'Ao ' means Blue and 'Nami ' means Wave. It is inspired by Japan's traditonal art/pattern, its beautiful landscape, and the 'Great Wave of Kaganawa by K.Hokusai'. The artwork was created by beautiful patches of Japanese craft papers to show traditional patterns in Japan. The colour blue is used heavily in this artwork to reflect a Japanese art called 'Aizure ' and the artist favourite colour. The artist also inspired by her favourite artwork 'Great Wave of Kanagawa by K.Hokusai' and the beautiful landscape of her current hometown, Kanagawa.
