Andre Desjardins (b 1964) is a painter and sculptor, born in Hauterive in Quebec Canada. Andre Desjardins studied graphic design at the University of Quebec in Montreal, and owned a successful marketing firm before pursuing a full time career as an artist. The style he has adopted as an artist, Visual Emotionism, fuses figurative and abstract elements in dynamic sculptures and paintings that are simultaneously expressionistic and humanistic. His artistic influences include Jackson Pollock, Leonardo Da Vinci and Antoni Tapies. Artworks by Andre Desjardins are included in the permanent collections of the Bibliotheque et Archives National du Quebec, the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, the Latino Art Museum in California, the Andrews Art Museum in North Carolina, and the MOCA Museum in Arkansas.
