About Artwork:
I'm highly inspired by nature and the play of light in the environment. I love setting up a still life in the early morning when the sun is glowing through the window. "Morning Light" is an example of a still life where I found my mother's sweater and it reminded me of a Cézanne painting. I arranged it in front of my antique French pot and placed fruit around the sweater and pot. The sunlight shaped such interesting shadows that I knew this painting would be satisfying.
