Mr. Pannell has been an illustrator/painter for over 40 years. He has received commissions from the United States Postal Service (a stamp of American writer O. Henry), Chicago Sun Times, Chronicle of Higher Education, Cure magazine, Dallas Chamber Orchestra, Dallas Morning News, Dallas Society of Visual Communications, Globe & Mail of Canada, Hartford Courant, Health Progress magazine, Hunt Petroleum, Museum of Natural History NYC, Newsweek, Northwestern University, PC Magazine, Rutgers University, Southern Methodist University, University of Notre Dame, University of Richmond, and the University of Texas.
His work has been published in juried exhibitions and publications, including the International Painting Annual by Manifest Gallery, Cincinnati, Ohio; Creative Quarterly, New York City; Art Kudos, an online competition; Elon University; Mary Tomas Gallery, Dallas, Texas; Artspace 111 Gallery, Fort Worth, Texas; Beeville Art Museum, Beeville, Texas; and is a finalist in the 2015 Hunting Art Prize competition, Houston, Texas. The Hunting competition is the largest art prize in the country with an award of $50,000 to the winner.
Mr. Pannell resides and works in Dallas, Texas.
