About Artist:
Chen Ping was born in 1962 in China.
He studied at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art for a BFA (Education) in 1985. and also completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting) from the School of Art, University of Tasmania.
Paintings by Chen Ping are held in important private collections around the world, as well as institutional gallery collections.
Chen's paintings have been exhibited at international art fairs, including the Venice Biennale in 2013 and 2017.
In 2014 his Unseen Mountain was the official gift of the Tasmanian Government to Chinese President Xi Jinping and Madame Peng Liyuan.
Chen lives and works in Hobart, Australia.
