About Artist:
I am completely lost in my own world of creativity when sculpting. I find true peace and enjoyment while building a three dimensional work of art. I especially like the Smoke fired technique to Finnish, which is unpredictable, full of risk, no two pieces can ever be the same. This I find, is where the excitement of the techniques and results lie. I combine the traditional making and firing techniques of India and Africa with a contemporary interpretation. The simplicity of form unites with rich decoration to create work of vibrant and dynamic character, enhanced by the polished surfaces which stimulate the tactile senses, creating a sense of timelessness about my work.
About Artwork:
I like my figurative work both sculpture as well as mixed media paintings to resemble all kinds of human circumstances. I see it as a way to recognise and identify with our own lives and how we relate to one another.
