She loves contemporary art, everything non-traditional, experimenting with bright colors and patterns.?As a free-hand artist, Irina rarely creates concepts before starting to draw or paint. She allows her hands to take the lead and let the mind to follow. Details in paintings are also very important for her, because they often play roles as a secret message that she wants to include in her art.
Irina is interested to work with different media such as silk paintings, cross-stitching, ink, watercolors, liquid and fluid acrylic, art resin.
She loves to challenge herself to create whimsical and witty art that would resist taking everything seriously in life. Her aim is to devise something interesting that would inspire curiosity of viewers just as it inspires her.?
About Artwork:
This piece has its own story. When?Irina just started?the project,?she got frustrated how big it is and how long it would take to finish it and then?she jokingly told herself that she is not going to die up until this?work?is finished. In the end Irina?intentionally left one square undone. It's really invisible to untrained eyes but keeps the whole purpose of the unfinished?project. That is how this artwork got its name "Immortal Woman". It's celebrating the life of a woman.
