About Artist:
Jane Hargrave is a contemporary British Artist, based in London, England. Her passion for making art began in childhood, but life took her in another colourful direction ( Formula One, Power Boat Racing, Penthouse International, Pet of the Month, Pet of the Year, involvement in Caligula, muse to Bob Guccione, worked as model/actress with a wide oeuvre including David Bailey, Lord Patrick Litchfield and Tony Scott for a decade or more before having a family, raising two children and along the way immersing herself more and more in her practice.W She studied at Richmond Art School 1989-1992, Chelsea College of Art 1992-3 beginning her independent practice as a professional artist in 1998.
About Artwork:
When I painted this I was going through a period of creating imaginary seascapes and landscapes, gleened from all the looking and seeing I always do, on my journeys. I was into Turner at the time, he had such a way with light in his paintings, so you could say I stole a little of his light.
