John Nieto (1936-2018) is one of America?s most influential contemporary artists.
Nieto was an American contemporary artist who concentrated on Native American themes including Native American tribal representatives as well as indigenous wildlife. He was a long time resident of New Mexico, his ancestral birthplace for more than 300 years, and in Texas.
John Neito's artwork is included in the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and was exhibited in Paris and Tokyo.. Each summer he had an annual exhibition in Santa Fe. His artwork is in private and institutional collections in the United States and internationally.
His body of artwork includes bronze sculptures, etchings, lithographs and silk- screen prints, in addition to drawings in pastel crayons and charcoal.
