About Artist:
Karl Rozemeyer is a Zimbabwe-born, South African artist living in Brooklyn, New York. He is primarily an autodidact but has a degree in art history and has had lessons in oil painting and visual theory from formally trained artists. He works in many media including oil, acrylic and mixed media. His works show an interest in the use of vivid color applied with determined brush strokes, cut-off compositions and the use of asymmetry, outline and flat space. He is widely travelled and draws inspiration from photographs he takes while travelling to different parts of the world.
