About Artist:

I consider myself an artist first, and photographer second. While photography is the basis for my works, I believe that there are many different types of photography, and my specialty relies heavily on the thought process, the planning, the setup, the composition and finally, the execution of the capture.

My History:

I received my first camera (a Kodak Brownie) in 1959 and I am not ashamed to say that I have never had a single photographic lesson in my life. As a self-taught artist, I learned to do things by trial and error ( a lot of errors ) and as such, I was not encumbered by the the traditional rules of the craft, simply because I didn't know what the rules were!

My professional career began in 2000 when I opened my first commercial gallery located in the historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake which is located about 20 minutes from Niagara Falls in Canada.

Since then I have travelled in excess of 200,000 miles through New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, the United States, the Caribbean, and of course in my home country of Canada to capture my images. During that period my collection of hand finished works of art have grown to over 200 pieces.

These?limited edition prints for sale have been well received and I am proud to say that I have sold over 8000 pieces of art which now hang in fine homes and professional offices in 27 countries around the world.

Awareness of my works continue to grow. I was recently honored to be asked to escort and advise His Highness, The Crown Prince of Dubai, (who is an avid and very accomplished photographer in his own right) during a trip to Niagara Falls, Canada in which he wanted to experience and photograph the?world famous?water falls.

Along with the growth of my collection of works, so has my gallery presence. I now sell my works exclusively in my luxurious 1100 square foot gallery, located within the Niagara region.

About Artwork:

I believe that there is a connection is made when you look at a piece of my work and it takes you back to a time or place in your life that had great meaning, or brings back wonderful memories. It can also transport you forward as an inspiration for your future. No matter the connection, once it is made, it will be very strong and sometimes very emotional.

Such is the case with "Fairy Tale Falls". While my love of nature is paramount, once I came upon this scene I felt it was almost magical in scope. In my effort to suspend disbelief, I knew I had to use a long exposure to capture the streamers of water falling down the side and to create the bridal veil look of the 7 levels of water falls.

After capturing images for over 54 years, I truely?believe this piece to be my Magnum Opus.

    ABOUT THE ART:

If you have never seen Kenneth's works in person, it is hard to imagine the impact his work has on a room. The best way to describe it is to imagine cutting a hole in a wall and putting a picture frame around the hole. Standing in front of one of his hand finished canvases, you actually feel like you are looking out the hole, at the actual scene. It looks that dynamic, 3-dimentional and very real!

This is all because of the technique Kenneth developed for capturing, printing and finishing his works. While many others have followed along and print on canvas, no one has even come close to the effect that Kenneth has created -- and that's what makes his works so popular with art lovers that want the art in their lives to make an impact!
