" Letizia Zombory is a daring. colorist,a narrator who suspends between the real world and a fairy tale, who in her paintings balances on de edge of dreams, abandons realistic figuration and perspective and has its own poetic and personal vison that ignores the natural color, the laws of gravity and the traditional ways of dealing with space.
Her works show us that invisible world can become visible thanks to the magic of colors that sing and dance in absolute freedom.
Everything is allegorical, symbolic, dreamlike. The image has never the actual color, the colors are unreality.
In the EVERYBODY GO TO THE CARNIVAL,where from two gates or from a surreal paintings with golden frame a multitude of characters go out- rendered according to the techniques of pointilism- who depart towards the Piazza San Marco in clarity white monochrome, they are almost suspending in the middle of the scene, taking away from the space.
There is absolute light, the synthesis of the brightness can be found in every Venezian painting.
Zombory's world is colore, as if seen through the window of a Gothic church, her poetic world feeds on a fantasy, which refers to childhood innocence and fariry tales, the color refers to the Fauves. The simplicity of form connects of the dreams is surralist, the scenes and fantasies are popular, her metaphysical figures transform the chronicle, according to the simultaneity of a dream"

About Artwork:
The painting was exhibited in the museum Sant Agostino Genova in Italy in 2015.
In my paintings I am always searching for the inner soul of a theme. A face, that can not be seen. A soul, which can be beautiful or ugly. The image can be either a reality or surreal. The image has to belong to the theme and the hidden must be expressed, by any means necessary. I am always looking for the feelings of people, landscapes and inanimate objects.
In my Venice series, I want to show the other face of this wonderful town, a face that has not been painted during the centuries. I am a little ironic and playful, but so is the town also, always different and incomprehensible. Everything revolves around the gondolas that have grown to a half human being. I also wanted to show my deep love and humility for a wonderful town.
My Rome series tell the story about the Majestic capital of the old,the lost World with her glamorous palaces, great emperors and the common people.
This tale is about the Eternal City that is nowadays just as colorful pulsating, majestic and eternal as it ever was.
