The painting depicts the mirror reflection of a woman who is prideful, at the moment of redemption. She has just thrown her tiara off her head whilst hyacinths start to grow from her heart and goldfinches visit. The removable parts reveal a black version of the woman before redemption whilst the red version depicts the woman forgiven. The removable parts can be hung from the ceiling in front of the painting (ceiling hooks are not included).
