About Artist:
I had a classic art education in St Lucas Art College in Antwerp.
Followed by 3 years study in Art graphiques.
Later I worked as teacher for art education
I've been painting all my life but so far never showed my work anywhere, or went into competitions, I kept them to myself, on my attick... I paint because I like it, not to brag about it.
Years ago, during an emotional period, I destroyed allmost every painting I ever made.
Was a bit of an iconoclasm then......
But now life brought me love, peace, trust and security. So I'm painting again.
Friends prompted me to "come out" and put, at least a part, of my work on show,
So here I am, curious if there is any intrest.
I like colours and prefer lively images.
Hope you like it to
About Artwork:
In these times with massive migration and refugees, identity, natioanlity, race and culture are hot topics.
That inspired me to a set of portraits of people from different parts of teh world. Beneath these obvious differences we're all humans with the same needs and hopes.
