About Artist:

Mary E Morgan is an American artist who has been a teacher for thirty years. In the   last fourteen years she taught at the university level which allowed time for continued research and studio experience.  The time spent in the studio added substance to her personal growth and development as an educator and artist.  As her style steadily changed from realism to abstraction the content of my expressionistic work represents a variety of experiences from life’s journey. Mary says time spent in her studio helped to form her style through experimenting with creative processes including the following: painting, printmaking and mixed mediums.

She is forever grateful for the legacy left by the Abstract Expressionist painters who became her mentors and whose influence helped to guide her.

About Artwork:

The artwork was inspired by places I have visited or lived. My work is a combined enmeshment of internal and external influences.
