About Artist:
In recent years, trying to trace the nature of an inner creative impulse, I began to express myself by working on the charming, attractive and vibrant wood material.
So, since the summer of 2012, I have been systematically engaged in a special passion and dedication to the art of woodcarving.
About Artwork:
Τhis particular project is the result of my great love for horses.
Their movement contains harmony, beauty and impossibility and is a source of inspiration for me.
The wood used to carve the wood is basswood and a German industrial wax-based material was used to protect the surface of the carved wood.
Although I generally do not like painting on my wooden sculptures, in this case I dared to use water-soluble colors to be able to better off the hues of the horse.
The dimensions of the project are 58 x 77 x 7 cm, worked exclusively with scraper and no mechanical means have been used at any point in the project.
