Hailing from Jersey City, New Jersey,?Paul Lempa has been creating unique?sports paintings for the past 15 years. His?work has been seen in galleries across the?country including the National Art Museum of Sport, and currently resides in the?permanent collection of The National?Pastime Museum.
Most recently, Paul participated in ?Hometown Teams,??a Smithsonian exhibit that celebrated sport across the?United States. He contributed 3 paintings that captured?unique moments from the 1950?s, focusing on when the?Brooklyn Dodgers played their home games at Roosevelt?Stadium in his hometown of Jersey City.
Paul?s paintings have been awarded in many juried shows,?seen in national publications including ESPN, and featured?on Topps baseball and football cards. Lempa was also?named one of the ?Top 12 Artists to Collect? by Beckett?Sports Card Monthly, a leader in sports collectibles. His?work is collected by fans all over the world, including many?of the elite athletes he has painted.

I am inspired by the strength and grace of our greatest athletes. I hope to breathe new life into the scenes that I paint, and hopefully introduce a whole new audience to these amazing huma beings and their surroundings.
