About Artist:
Peter Reed was very interested in design fundamentals from an early age and at primary school very quickly learned about Modern World art. He was particularly interested in Plein Air Sketching. His family then relocated to Fremantle, Western Australia, where he attended the Princess May School completed secondary school at John Curtin High School where he studied where he received accolades for this fine art and technical drawings. He board drawing. While working as a spray painter in the north of Western Australia, the project manager, an American engineer, encouraged Peter to enrol in an Art and Design course at Central Metropolitan College. He completed a Certificate of Art and Design in 1995 and an Advanced Certificate in 1996. In 1997, he completed a Diploma of Arts and Design (Fine Arts) at Midland College of TAFE.
Peter exhibited his art extensively around Western Australia and won many awards. His art was inspired by his life experiences, from Dampier (in the north of Western Australia), to Guthia, to Albany in the south of Western Australia.
Peter unfortunately died in 2008, at the prime of his artistic endeavours, from a brain aneurism.
