About Artist:
Pierluigi De Lutti is considered one of the leading exponents of contemporary Italian Material Abstraction.
The artist built his career on a solid figurative foundation in the 1980s. The real turning point, however, came in the 1990s during his stays in the United States: in New York and Los Angeles, he definitively freed himself of form to embrace Informal Abstraction, transforming painting into a purely gestural act. This exploration led him to the prestigious selection at the MoMA in New York in 2005, marking his international recognition. In more recent years, his work has evolved in an increasingly material and three-dimensional direction, where the painting ceases to be a flat surface to become an object filled with layers of metal and wood, exploring profound chromatic contrasts that reflect a constant philosophical investigation of existence.

"Colorado" (2024), oil on canvas board, 25x40 cm - "Di Rosa" (2021), oil on canvas board, 25x40 cm.
An exclusive pairing of works by Maestro Pierluigi De Lutti: the chromatic vigor of "Colorado" dialogues with the material delicacy of "Di Rosa." Two canvases that epitomize the artist's full maturity through a rich, vibrant, and three-dimensional oil painting style in which the color is not simply applied, but creates volume using rich, layered impastos.
These works were designed for spaces with character: their strength lies in their ability to dialogue with noble materials (velvet, burnished metals) and textured walls. Arranged vertically, they transform a wall into a "column of art" that streamlines the space and defines its luxury.
Purchasing the pair guarantees a balanced chromatic harmony, a rare added value found on the single-piece market.
