About Artist:
Rebecca de Figueiredo is British, and has been living in Botswana for 30 years. She has had various exhibitions here, joint and solo, and has been painting for 30 years, with an abundance of artwork available. Nature is her love, although nature painted in a surreal, rather abstract way. She has won various awards, and very good commissions.
About Artwork:
The sand is bright, hot and severe. I wanted to create depth and movement.. and so created layers of watercolour, with puddles of paint taking days to dry before the next layer added. I softened the severity of the piece with my one love.. slightly surreal flowers. Please enjoy.
