About Artist:

Sophia Rose is a self-taught Canadian artist that developed a passion for art from a young age, and drew inspiration from the works of Ivan Aivazovsky and Ilya Repin. She is best known for her unique and vibrant automobile paintings that capture and honour the individual characteristics and personalities of each automobile. Previously, she sold her pieces privately, but has recently expanded into the international markets. Alongside her love of art, she developed a strong interest in history, languages and both forms of horsepower. Interests lead to achievements that now include a Bachelor of Arts in History, fluency in multiple languages, and the skills of an accomplished equestrian.

About Artwork:

Featured Cars: Iso Grifo, Lancia Flaminia Super Sport, Bugatti Centodieci, BMW 503

If the question was asked What is the most boring car colour that one could buy - the hands down, most frequent response would be white. Many would say that it lacks flair or personality and it is difficult to keep clean, - and yet it is also globally the most popular car colour. Are we as humans truly this predictable now The good news is, we really arent that boring, the bad news is that car companies would rather drive this trend into the ground than have a bit of fun.

We as a society can probably blame Apple for making greyscale minimalism the current trend, because in the early 2000s their innovative and modern designs made white look sleek and cool instead of forgettable and blas. However, for every person that bought a white iPhone for the aesthetic, there were thousands of people that wasted no time covering the white up with a colourful case. Car companies will continue to tell us that white cars really are a lot fun, and will continue to impress upon us that there is a massive difference between alpine white and glacier white, but in reality, we know that isnt the case.

At the end of the day though, the coolness factor will always come down to the car itself. A Honda Accord isnt likely to cut it, but if fortune has smiled down on you and you are lucky enough to own the right car, it will ooze enough class, to make that white paint look alluring and sophisticated.
