About Artwork:
As human beings with growing emotions, we all go through life events and experiences that shape our souls. Im a 24-year-old who was born in Iraq, Baghdad and had to leave home after the war of 2003. I moved after the war to three different countries, eventually, I came with my family when I was 18 years old to California, and since then I decided to follow my passion which is art. As a child of war and a creator of art, my work has always been influenced by the destruction and the trauma of war. With every brushstroke, I let go of anger, fear, agony, chaos, and I try to find hope, survival, and love. This work represents displacement and diaspora of my own experience coming from Iraq after the war.
