About Artist:
Deborah is a professional artist mainly self taught after initial lessons with her grandfather. She lives in Corsham, Wiltshire and works from home. There is some of her work with HM The Queen. Her work comprises pencil and graphite drawings, oil paintings, pastels and watercolours.
Deborah recently met Jerry Saltz, the Pulitizer prize winner in Criticism, at the Outsider Art Fair 2019 in New York. He has not only bought artworks from her but has praised and championed her work for a number of years on social media.
About Artwork:
Classic Greek and Renaissance era inspire me. I have taken inspiration from sculptures and this particular painting of Florence & Pisa and the sculpture that inspired me here is by Giovanni Bologna I try to make them more real by adding colour in the painting based on the sculpture and people that I know who come to mind while I paint. This painting of Florence & Pisa has a guide price however all reasonable offers will be considered.
