A profoundly powerful painting of Jesus Christ underwater, embracing the light, surrounded by mermaid angels and colorful reefs. Three years in the making (it was inspired from an actual underwater statue in Florida), “Christ of the Deep” was the painting that put Thomas on the map in the art world. Sought after by collectors around the world, this piece has led to many commissions, including the $100,000 commission for the USA Inventor’s Hall of Fame of “Nessie Lives!”
This original has been in my possession for 31 years. I have tried to hold on to it despite numerous offers over the years, knowing that the value would increase. The Christ of the Deep launched me into the limelight after it was unveiled in a gallery in Waikiki and broadcast on all 3 news stations.
