About Artist:
As it often happens with many physical and mental objects, the way things are perceived and appear from one distance and vantage point maybe very different from the way they are perceived and appear from another point. In fact, sometimes the difference is so stark that the very same thing appears to be the polar opposite of or - at the least - very different from the original .
Having always been fascinated by the above mystery, I seem to carry it into most of my works. The way they appear from afar is often drastically different from when they are experienced closely. Of course, as one gradually changes the distance, he is rewarded with a multitude of variations and gradations between the two.
When it comes to style, I am not a purist or proponent of a single approach. Instead, I seem to like hybridizing and pulling several syles into most of the works. In fact, as mentioned above, the same work will appear as belonging to different styles of painting when viewed from different distances. Could this be a style of its own?
About Artwork:
I have always been excited by and interested in the interplay of art and technology. At the moment, I am exploring what technology allows us to do with the traditional media that was not previously possible. The ongoing series is called Pixelated People. This particular painting is Pixelated People: Steve.
