About Artist:
Ethiopian artist, Yonatan Wondwosen uses meticulous collage and paint techniques on paper or canvas to create his precise, detailed artworks.
Born in 1988 in Addis Ababa, Yonatan Wondwosen grew up in an artistic family and was acquainted with art from a very young age. He graduated from Addis Ababa University Alle School of Fine Art and Design, with a BA in Fine Art, from the department of sculpture. He is currently a full-time studio artist.
Yonatan has participated in several group exhibitions throughout Ethiopia, including an exhibit at the National Museum of Ethiopia (2012), the Addis Art Fair (2014) and most recently, at the Sheraton Addis Hotel, in the Art of Ethiopia exhibition (2012, 2013 and 2014).
